So, What's a Blogger to do?

I was so proud of myself when I managed to set up this blog. But now more people than not are telling me Blogger isn't allowing them to post comments! What the heck is up with that?

Norah Wilson, who has a much better grasp of these things than I do, said to UN-check the box that says “Stay Signed In” or “Keep me Signed In” or whatever it says. It’ll work like a charm after that..

Somebody else told me that anybody who wants to post a comment should down to keep hitting the darn button until it works.

Yet someone else said she posts this message on her own blog:
Unable to leave a comment? Try downloading Google Chrome and type (the name of your blog) in the top search box.

I'm thinking maybe there's another free blog site that's more user-friendly? Anybody know? If you can't post a comment here, you can e-mail me at alice@aliceduncan.net
I knew this couldn't be as simple as it sounded :-(

Also--check your settings--allow anonymous...and yes, sign on each time--uncheck remember me. I once got some other advice by going to the help group...someone answers. To me this site is simple--some people like Wordpress, but I would never switch.

Thanks, Star. I'll check my settings, if I can find them. Can you tell me I'm new to this stuff?

Go to the Dashboard--near the blog title, there is a clickable thing that says settings. Also check under comments--allow anon...etc.

Thanks, Star. Will do.

I'm not finding anything that says "allow anon." I'm probably just stupid, huh?

Never mind! I just found it!

Alice,
Like you, I'm techNOTical. I find that walking away for a while usually helps me figure out what I'm doing wrong. It's mostly frustration!

Thanks, Peg! I love that word: techNOTical :-)

I'm hoping that following Star's suggestion that I change my settings will help others be able to comment.
