Two Books, a Book Cover, and a Crash
And then, as sort of a last gasp to the month of March, 2015, since there hadn’t already been enough excitement in my life, someone driving a blue Hyundai drove (probably drunk) into my fence. Just try getting people to give you estimates for fixing fences if you live in Roswell, New Mexico. Go ahead. I dare you. Sigh. Oh, and we know it was a blue Hyundai because great big parts of it were left behind in the rubble.
April will be awash in medical stuff for me, which I’m kind of looking forward to because I want to know what’s wrong with me and how to fix it.
Winners of last month’s contest for SPIRITS REVIVED are Ella N. Strattis and Shirley Orio. Congrats, ladies. I’ll send your books ASAP.
If you’d like to be entered into this month’s contest, during which I’ll be giving away Kindle or Nook copies of SPIRITS ONSTAGE and hard copies (two of them) of THANKSGIVING ANGELS, just send me your name and home address at alice@aliceduncan.net
If you’d like to visit my woefully out-of-date web site (gotta get on that!), the URL is http://aliceduncan.net/ and if you’re interested in being Facebook friends, please visit https://www.facebook.com/alice.duncan.925
Thanks!

Thanks for the e-mail about your contest (I entered) Love the cover of your book. By the way I used to live near Pasadena (Covina) and ended up in Fort Worth, Texas where there's no smog, but tornadoes and lot and lots of heat. . .

Hi, Alice,
I love your book covers. Congrats on accomplishing so much! You both write and edit, quite a challenge.
There's a story in that fence mishap, as I'm sure you already know. How did that driver manage to leave so much behind?
Oh Alice, what a shame about your fence! Have you told the police? They should be able to find out who did this via local garages, when that blue Hyundai comes in for repairs. ;-)
Here's hoping your medical issues are swiftly resolved!
Good luck with your health issues. I'm just glad that it was your fences and not your carI look forward to your new boos
I'm so excited about all your books! Of course, I love Daisy best, but Mercy is a close second. Hope your fence is soon repaired and that it stays that way.
Best wishes with the health issues. Growing older is the pits, but so much better than the alternative. Take care of yourself so you can care for those doggies. And write more books, of course.

Thanks, everyone! As for finding the culprit who did my fence in, this is Roswell. I filed a report, but I doubt it'll be much good. The police don't actively search for criminals. They might arrest someone if they accidentally fall over him as he bleeds in the street, but I have a dismal feeling the guy who crunched my fence will never be found. Yeah. Growing older really IS the pits, Caroline!
